The fourth locality was below this peak in the western edge of the Dund Saikhan Mountains. The foothills in this area were rather flat plains that sloped steeply up to the base of the summit. This was split by deep sparsely shrubbed canyons. Above this was the rather rocky summit. The habitat is this area was rather homogenous.

Mountain vole- Alticola sp.
Long-tailed hamster- Cricetulus longicaudatus
Mongolian gerbil- Meriones unguiculatus
Daurian pika- Ochotona dauurica
Pallas' pika- Ochotona pallasi
Ground squirrel- Spermophilus sp.
Parti-colored bat- Vespertilio sp.
