Hemiechinus auritus (Gmelin, 1770)









Distribution
Hemeichinus auritus is found across northern Eurasia from eastern Ukraine to Mongolia, and in the southern part of its range from Libya to western Pakistan.

In Mongolia, it is found across the desert and semi-desert areas of the northewstern and southern parts of the country.



Parasites
In Mongolia:
Acanthocephala
Moniliformis moniliformis (Bremser, 1811)

Across their range, outside of Mongolia, they are known to be infected by a dozen different parasites, primarily nematodes.
